Blue Waters Gears Up for the Cricket!
At Blue Waters, we’re currently gearing up for the upcoming 2014 England cricket tour. Taking place between February and March, the cricket season is always a fun time for Blue Waters and Antigua, and we’re anticipating that 2014 will be no different.
England’s tour of the Caribbean will see them playing in Antigua between February and March 2014, where they will play a three-match ODI series at the island’s famous Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground. Many cricket enthusiasts flock to Antigua during the cricket period to spectate, bestowing the island with an exciting atmosphere. We’re anticipating that Blue Waters will be bustling with cricket fans during this time, and are doing everything we can to assure everyone is well taken care of during this period.
Staff will be on hand to book taxis and tickets for all guests wishing to attend the cricket matches, whilst the hotel’s tour desk will be arranging an organised taxi service to and from the stadium on game days. This will ensure that you’ll be able to attend the cricket matches without having to worry about transport, meaning you can focus solely on making the most out of your time in Antigua.
The cricket matches are always a blast to attend. The atmosphere at the stadium is electric, with everyone eager to celebrate the festivities. Antigua has a sporting history that dates back countless years, with cricket playing a large part in that.
Blue Waters has played host to many cricket fans over the years, the last occasion being in 2009 when England came to play in the Caribbean. This means we’re well prepared for the upcoming 2014 England cricket tour! Moreover, the sport is also a fantastic way to boost awareness of Antigua and helps promote tourism on the island. Antigua is always lively during the cricket period, and is a beautiful place to enjoy the sport.
We can’t wait to welcome cricket fans next year, and hope that you’ll come and partake in the sporting festivities.
