The ceremony will be conducted by a marriage officer and is legally recognized. Ceremonies can be performed one full working day after arriving, subject to availability, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays. A catholic wedding must take place in a church. Marrying in a Commonwealth country means however that the only record of the wedding outside of Antigua is the marriage certificate which is completed and given to the couple on their wedding day. If this document is ever lost, a copy would need to be obtained from the Registrar in Antigua. |
